2025-11-13 Thursday 7:30PM – Paul Robb – Meet your local Forest Ranger

Speaker: Paul Robb, Forest Ranger, Forestry Corporation of NSW.

Paul has been employed by Forestry Corporation of NSW (FCNSW) as a Forest Ranger for a little over 2 years patrolling the forests in the Bathurst Management Area which includes numerous State Forests. This incorporates forests from Glenwood and Canobolas in the west to Roseberg and Pennsylvania in the south across to Sunny Corner and Lidsdale in the east and Mullions Range to the north.

His role is to engage with the community and all forest users including hunters, fossickers, campers and other visitors. In his talk Paul will highlight some of the special areas of native vegetation and how they are managed as well as things to remember when visiting these forests.

While the core function of FCNSW is producing pine for construction timber it is responsible for large areas of native vegetation. Fire management is also a critical part of their operations. Paul was previously employed by Parks and Wildlife in WA and NSW.
